About Me

I started quilting during my early teenage years.  I had found some scrap fabric my mom had tossed and started to make myself a totally hand-made crazy quilt pillow.  I really didn’t know what I was doing, but it turned out just lovely!  I guess you could say I was hooked from that point on!  During college with money so tight, I used old jeans and scraps to make jean quilts.

While I was a very young mother, quilting took a back seat for a few years.  It wasn’t until my husband’s military move to Hawaii in 1986 that I fell in love with Hawaiian quilting and I started up again.  I quilted off and on while the children were growing up, but it wasn't until they became teenagers that I could really start quilting in earnest.  You could say I was a true quilt-a-holic, often sewing well into the early morning hours.

I have won numerous quilt awards for my piecing and quilting techniques.  It is something that I enjoy immensely.

Now, I’d like to share my joy and love of quilting with you!

Quilty Hugs,

Sue
