* Custom Quilting is added separate designs into the squares, blocks, sashing, posts, and borders.
* Heirloom is the same as custom but adding background textures or fills.

Calculating Measurements:

Batting and Backing Requirements:

Example: A 80" x 80" inch quilt top needs a backing and batting that measures 88” x 88” inches.

Calculating the Cost of Quilting Services:

Multiply the length times the width of your quilt top to get the total square inches. Multiply total square inches times the cost of the quilting service you desire.

Example: Your quilt top is 80x80". You want a Basic/Large Stipple/Pantographs, which is .01 per sq. inch. Your calculations would be:
80" x 80" = 6400 sq. in.
6400 x .01 = $64.00

Calculating the Cost of Front Binding Services:

Your quilt top measures 80" x 80"
You want me to machine sew the binding to the front of your quilt, you will finish at home:
          Width = 80" x 2 = 160"
          Length= 80" x 2 = 160"
          320" x .10 = $32.00

Please note that this is for 90 degree angles. Scallops and curved edges are a different price.

Calculating the Cost of Full Binding Services:

Your quilt top measures 80" x 80"
      You want me to sew the entire binding for you. The front is attached by machine and is finished by hand in the back:
          Width = 80" x 2 = 160"
          Length= 80" x 2 = 160"
          320" x .25 = $80.00

Please note that this is for 90 degree angles. Scallops and curved edges are a different price.

Important Information*:

Quilt tops should be squared up, pressed and threads trimmed.

If direction matters, mark the top of the quilt with a safety pin.

Quilt backs need to be 8” longer and wider than the top all around and pressed.

Remove selvage edges from quilt backs if they are sewn to prevent puckering.

Do not add embellishments until after the quilting process is completed.

You may supply your own batting. Remember that cotton batting will shrink a little when washed giving your quilt that old-fashioned look. Poly batts will not shrink much at all.

If you are requesting a binding service, please have your binding prepared and pressed and included in your shipment. If you would like me to provide binding preparation, please include your material in your shipment and I will do it for you.

Please ship using UPS, FedEx, or USPS when mailing. Insure your package along with a Delivery Confirmation. I am not responsible for

articles lost or damaged by the shipping carrier.

You can schedule a quilt date with me for a fee of $20 to hold that quilting time open. After quilting is completed, this fee is applied to your total amount due.
